Dayglow privacy policy
Effective date: September 2, 2026
What Dayglow handles
Dayglow handles the information needed to provide its features:
- Outdoor-time sessions, dates, goals, preferences, and subscription state are stored locally on your device.
- If you enable Apple Health, Dayglow reads eligible outdoor workout information, such as workout duration and date, to create outdoor-time entries. Dayglow requests read access only and does not write to or change Apple Health.
- If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to include in your message.
How your information is used
Dayglow uses local app data to calculate your daily progress, streaks, goals, history, and statistics. Apple Health data is used only for the optional outdoor-time import feature.
Dayglow does not use your information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or marketing analytics.
Where your information is stored
Your Dayglow sessions, settings, and imported workout entries are stored locally on your device using the app’s on-device storage. Dayglow does not operate an account system, cloud sync, or server database for this information.
You can export a local JSON backup or import one from Settings. Exported files are controlled by you and may be stored or shared wherever you choose.
Sharing and third parties
Dayglow does not sell, rent, or share your daylight log or Apple Health data with third parties. Dayglow does not receive your payment information. Apple processes subscription purchases and manages billing through the App Store; Apple’s handling of that information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Your local Dayglow data remains on your device until you remove it, delete the app, or replace it through an import. Deleting the app removes its local data according to your device’s operating-system behavior. Keep any exported backup files secure because they may contain your daylight log.
Children’s privacy
Dayglow does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Dayglow does not require an account and keeps app data on-device, it does not maintain a child user profile.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Dayglow’s features or privacy practices change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated.
